I am looking for a bike for my daughter, who will be attending U of O this fall. Not a junkeer, but not so flashy it gets stolen the first week. I have three in college, so I am on a budget. She is 5’8″, with a 34″ inseam, she is an athlete, but wants a comfortable ride to commute to class. She is a ten minute walk. Thank you.

I’m really sorry Larry, I overlooked this inquiry. It may well be irrelevant at this point, but I do have the bike.
I have had several offers from out of the area. I want to sell the bike to someone who lives nearby enough to test ride the bike before buying it. I am a little neurotic about my old bikes. I want it to go to a good home.
This approx 53 CM (center to top) was GT’s top of the line with U.S. Titanium frame and carbon fiber fork. The bike is Shimano Ultegra 9s equipped, with Mavic Open Pro rims, SS spokes. The original owner died about ten years ago. Our family hung it in the shed where it has since lived in near mint condition. The bike cost $2100 in 1998 dollars.

Anyone know of any bike riding lessons for kids? I have a child that is having a hard time getting it. She really wants to learn but is now afraid and embarassed due to kids making fun of her with training wheels on her bike still. She is 7.

I have two peugeot bikes my husband and I bought new 30 years ago they are tour bikes and are still in good shape. I have a collection of early USA Schwinn bikes to sell, all need some fixing (tires, cables, rust, ect) none crashed, The oldest is a first year Phantom from ’49 , some ’60′s middleweights (Corvette, Typhoon,ect) a couple three wheelers and some Lightweight Varsitys, Continentals, Collegates, Nothing newer than ’70′s. I was unable to attend the Seattle Vintage show this year and now they are in my way. I would like to sell them all at once(best price) and can deliver in needed. Please no tire kickers or low ballers (I have been collecting bikes for 30 years and am not a scrap yard). Located in Oakland Or. (50 miles south of Eugene on I-5).

I’m selling a Manhattan Aero 6 Speed Cruiser bike. I’ve had it for about 4 years and ride it pretty regularly. I’ve also added fenders to both wheels, so rainy muddy mornings won’t get you down! Without fenders it sells for $300, I’m hoping for $150.

Bought two years ago from bikesdirect.com for $900, rarely ridden in the rain, no rust, rides smoothly. Shimano Ultegra (top of the line) components, lightweight aluminum frame with carbon fork and seatpost, Vuelta XRP PRO carbon wheels. Being a 15 year old speed freak, I bought this wanting the fastest thing I could get on a budget of $1500 after looking at some big-name brands like Trek (which, for 50% more money, didn’t even compare to this bike). Now I have a car, and I’d rather part with this beautiful bike in order to have some cash for my summer travels and an old Schwinn cruiser. The pictures are from bikesdirect.com, however as far as I can see they are exactly the same as the bike I’m selling, with the exception that mine has pedals with toe clips rather than the pedals in the picture. Price is flexible if and only if you show me where you’ll find a better deal, which I’ve yet to see. $900 for a bike with the parts and components that this has was an exceptional deal; $600 is even better.
